Information You Send
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result. Campbell Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you send a message, the operators receive the details included in that message and use them to answer it.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting systems may record ordinary server-log details such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and time stamps. Those details are reviewed in aggregate to maintain the service and understand general page use. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may also use cookies or similar tools where they are enabled.
How That Data Is Used
The purposes are limited to operating the reference, correcting faults, measuring broad traffic, and improving pages. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual user profiles are not built from this information.
External Record Links
Pages link to county and California portals, libraries, archives, and sponsored search tools. Each outside provider sets its own privacy terms, and those terms govern information entered on that provider’s service. Sponsored results are supplied by a separate company.
Who May Receive It
Hosting and technical service providers may process server logs while they support the reference. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Disclosure may occur when valid legal process requires it; otherwise, the information is not shared beyond the services needed to operate.
Security and Retention
The connection is encrypted, and server logs are retained only for the purposes described above and for as long as those purposes require. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or user profiles stored here.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Personal information from anyone under 18 is not knowingly collected. If a minor has sent information, use the Contact page so it can be located and deleted.
Your California Privacy Rights
Depending on your circumstances, California’s Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code §1798.100 et seq., may provide rights to know, correct, delete, or opt out of sale or sharing of personal information held by a covered business. The California Privacy Protection Agency's DROP program concerns registered commercial data brokers, not deletion from official public records. Because Campbell Residents Directory retains very little, a request usually involves checking the contact mailbox and applicable logs, then removing eligible information. Use the Contact page to make a request. Government records held by California, Santa Clara County, or Campbell are outside this reference’s control; contact the record custodian for those.
